How to Create Retro Elements in Adobe Illustrator

The main goal of this short course is to share what makes even a modern design retro. From color and shapes to typography and texture, we’ll run through three little projects that hit upon retro design theory. Our first project is a set of retro electronics created from basic shapes. Our second project is the creation of ribbons and banners. Our third project is a couple of fun retro-styled badge designs, perfect for labels or packaging. In the end, you’ll have the tools and techniques needed to create more complex, retro-inspired illustrations and designs.
